Junior Mike Russell and freshman Emmanuel Aouad earned third- and fourth-place finishes, respectively, at Saturday's Titan Open indoor track and field meet at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Russell returned to the Little Giant lineup after missing last week's North Coast Athletic Conference Relays while battling the flu. He came back to take the third spot in the high jump, clearing a height of 6-02.75.
Aouad continued to shine in the hurdles, finishing fourth in the finals with a time of 8.53. He qualified with the third-fastest time in the preliminaries, finishing in 8.55.
Senior Nathan Bates added a fifth in the 400-meter dash (51.10). Junior Bart Banach was eighth in the finals of the 60 meters (7.15). The 1600-meter relay team brought home a fourth place finish (3:25.49).
The Little Giants finished 10th out of 16 teams in the final scoring. Wabash will participate in the DePauw Invitational this Saturday.
