Wabash junior foward Andrew Zimmer continued to add post-season honors to his resume Wednesday, earning a place on the D3Hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Team. Zimmer was a Third Team selection to the All-Region team as voted on by sports information directors throughout the Great Lakes area.

The Hobart, Indiana native and First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection led the Little Giants in scoring (19.6 points per game), rebounding (7.8 boards per game) and blocked shots (40). Zimmer's totals placed him second in the league in scoring, third in rebounding, and second in blocked shot with an average of 1.6 per contest. He finished the year with a shooting percentage of .570, the fourth-best mark among NCAC players. He was also second in offensive rebounds, grabbing 89 for the year.

Zimmer also ranked among the top-50 in the nation in scoring average and the top-75 players in Division III in field goal percentage and blocked shots. He also helped Wabash to rank among the top-75 teams in the nation in blocked shots with an average of 3.4 per contest as a team.

Three times this season he scored over 30 points, including a career-best 35 against Earlham College. Zimmer also tallied 34 in his final home game of the 2006-07 season in a win over Kenyon and picked up 31 against Lakeland College despite suffering an eye injury during the game that would force him to miss the next two conference games. He also grabbed a career-best 17 rebounds against Hanover, hit a career-topping 12 baskets in the game against Lakeland, and equalled his best assist mark in a game with four at Kenyon. He was also named to the All-NCAC Tournament team after scoring 21 points in the Little Giants' opening round victory at Allegheny and 23 in the semifinal loss at the College of Wooster to the eventual tournament champion Fighting Scots.
