Hulen Presents Paper at Acoustics and Music Conference

Assistant Professor of Music Peter Hulen presented "Common-tone Relationships Constructed Among Scales Tuned in Simple Ratios of the Harmonic Series and Expressed as Values in Cents of Twelve-tone Equal Temperament" at the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS) 7th Annual Conference on Acoustics and Music: Theory and Applications, in Cavtat, Croatia near the Medieval walled city of Dubrovnik in June 2006. An extended revision of the paper was published as an article in WSEAS Transactions on Computers, Issue 8, Volume 5, August 2006.

In November 2006 Hulen composed a new piece for brass entitled Inaugural Fanfare to be played by the Wabash College Brass Ensemble at the January 25, 2007 Celebration of the Arts in conjunction with the inauguration of Patrick White as 15th President of the College.
