Wabash Netters Lose Two in Ohio

The Little Giants traveled to Granville, Ohio to play Hope and Denison Saturday. The host Big Red swept Wabash in a 9-0 contest. Wabash picked up two wins in a 7-2 loss to Hope in the afternoon.

Jay Horrey scored a three-set win at number one singles against Hope's Stephen Malvitz. Horrey took the first set 7-6, then lost the second by a score of 2-6. He battled to a 10-5 win in the third to take the match.

Sean Clerget had to go to three sets, as well, to improve to 10-3 at number six singles play. He defeated Hope's Zach Hoernschemeyer 4-6, 6-3, 10-2.

Wabash falls to 9-8 for the season and 1-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference after suffering the league loss to Denison. The Little Giants will play host to Wittenberg University and Elmhurst College next Saturday at the Collett Tennis Center.
