Rush Named Conference Baseball Player of the Week

Wabash freshman outfielder Kyle Rush has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

Rush went 5-for-6 from the plate (.833) as the Little Giants’ leadoff hitter. He had a double, three RBIs, two stolen bases, and scored five runs. TheLafayette, Indiana native  also walked once and had a sacrifice fly. Rush is tied for the NCAC lead with 13 stolen bases on the season. He’s started all 26 games this season for the Little Giants, batting .340 (32-of-94) with 22 runs scored and 13 RBIs. He played his high school baseball at McCutcheon.

Rush and his Wabash teammates play North Park University tonight at the US Steel "Steel Yard" in Gary, Indiana at 7 p.m. (CDT). The game will be broadcast on WNDY (91.3-FM) beginning at 7:55 p.m.
