Little Giants Finish 1-1 at GLCA Tennis Tournament

Adam Van Zee and Jay Horrey tied the single season record for doubles' wins with an 8-6 victory in the Oberlin match at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Tennis Tournament, held over the weekend at Albion College in Michigan. Wabash defeated the Yeomen 5-2 after losing to Albion in the opening match 6-0.

The duo picked up their 20th doubles win of the season, equalling the 20 wins of John Lowe '73 and John Garber '73 in their senior season.  Horrey also scored a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Chris Pray in number singles action.

Josh Paul and Dan Petrie combined to add a point to the team score against Oberlin with an 8-6 win at number three doubles. Paul also scored a straight sets, 6-4, 6-2 win at number three singles.

Sean Clerget improved to 16-6 overall and 13-3 at number six singles after blanking Benjamin Crystal 6-0, 6-0.

Wabash will take on the eighth-ranked DePauw Tigers Wednesday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center. The Tigers won the GLCA Tournament.
