Green captured the top spot in the 100- and 200-meter dashes to earn all-conference honors.
Wabash finished the two-day event with 79 points. Wittenberg won the team competition with 169 points. Ohio Wesleyan was second (126 points), with Allegheny (113) and Wooster (93) finishing third and fourth, respectively. Kenyon was sixth (64), followed by Hiram (29), Denison (22) and Earlham (21).
Green had the top time in the preliminary heats of the 100-meter dash, running a 11.05 to qualify for the finals. He finished in 11.14 in the finals ahead of Wooster's Nahum Kisner's time of 11.28 to take first place.
The senior also had the fastest time in the 200-meter dash prelims, crossing the line in 22.47. He trimmed his finals time to 22.40, finishing ahead of second-place finalist Bret Petersen of Oberlin. Petersen finished with a time of 22.79.
Four other Wabash athletes earned all-conference honors at the championship meet. Senior Jared Smit (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) finished second in the 5000-meter run. Smit toured the track in 15:11.86, less than one second behind the winning time of 15:10.98 by Brendan Callahan of Wooster. Smit took fourth place in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:12.76.
Sophomore Dan Ruge (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) took third place in the 1500-meter run. His time tied that of his teammate, Mark Sherer (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso). Ruge was awarded third place after the photo-finish image was reviewed, showing him crossing just ahead of Sherer. Freshman Jason Lloyd (Chicago, IL/Hales Franciscan) was third in the finals of the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.48, just edged out of second place by .6 seconds by Allegheny's Matt Niederst (50.42). Lloyd turned in the top time in the preliminary 400-meter dash race with a time 50.26.
Junior Peter DeYoung (Evansville, IN/Bosse) finished third in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 6 inches to earn a spot on the all-conference team. He was fourth in the triple jump (42 feet, 1.25 inches).
Junior Caleb Ishman (Gary, IN/Emerson Visual and Performing Arts) had the top throw in the hammer by over ten feet, finishing with a winning toss of 154 feet, 4 inches. His winning throw did not earn any points for the Little Giants as the hammer throw is not scored as a team event at the NCAC Championship event. Freshman Sean Gerold (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) finished fourth in the event with a final throw of 135 feet, 7 inches.
