Youth Clinic, Community Day Part of Football Opener

The Wabash football program will welcome the community with two events leading up to the 2007 season-opener against Franklin Saturday afternoon.

Friday at 5:30 the football team will conduct its annual Youth Clinic at Hollett Little Giant Stadium. Children from kindergarten through grade eight will participate in passing, running, receiving, kicking, and tackling drills with members of the Wabash team. The evening concludes with the "Hammer Hit." Participants run through a line of players, hitting a tackling dummy at the end of the line while landing on safety mats. Team photos will also be available and players will sign autographs after the clinic. No registration is required. For more information, contact Coach Steve House (765-361-6299 or houses@wabash.edu).

Saturday's game versus Franklin will have free admission for everyone in attendance. The free event is in appreciation for the outstanding community support Wabash College receives throughout the year. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
