Soccer's Two-Game Streak Ends With Loss to Aurora

The two-game winning streak by the Wabash soccer team came to an end Friday night with a 2-0 loss to Aurora University in the Allen Classic at Centre College.

The Little Giants fell behind 1-0 early, giving up a goal to Chase Corricelli in the 10th minute. Corricelli added a second goal in the opening minutes of the second period.

Wabash was outshot 17-9. The Little Giants managed only three shots on goal in the loss.

"We didn't play smart soccer today," head coach Roberto Giannini said. "We've already know from watching our team play that if we come ready to play we can perform well. When we don't, anyone can beat us. We have to ready to play Saturday against Wilmington."

The Little Giants (2-2) play Wilmington in the final match of the Classic at 5:30 p.m. in Danville, Kentucky.
