Little Giants Open 2007-08 Golf Season at Kenyon

Wabash opened the 2007-08 golf season with a sixth place finish at the Kenyon Invitational.

Freshman Justin Chin was the top finisher for the Little Giants. Chin fired a two-day total of 157 (77-80), tying for 23rd. Junior Jordan Vice rebounded from a first-day 83 to shoot a 77 in the final round, tying for 29th with a total of 160. Sam Russell (81-83--164) and Bryan Arnold (84-81--165) completed the team scoring. Russel was 38th, while Arnold tied for 39th.

The Little Giants shot 646 for the tournament, held at the Apple Valley Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. Ohio Wesleyan got an early lead in the North Coast Athletic Conference championship race by winning the tournament with total of 592. Allegheny (595) was second. Wooster (615) and Denison (615) tied for third, with Wittenberg (628) finishing fifth.

Wabash battles Rose-Hulman in the fall edition of the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic Thursday at Hulman Links in Terre Haute.
