Vice Charges To Fourth at DePauw Small College Golf Classic

Jordan Vice shot a final-round 72 Sunday to tie for fourth at the 2007 DePauw Small College Golf Classic. Vice finished with a two-round total of 148 after shooting a 76 Saturday.

The Little Giant team was in fourth place after the first day with a total of 303 strokes, trailing the leaders by just ten shots. Wabash dropped to sixth out of nine teams in the final totals with a 613.

"We were pleased with our final results," head coach Mac Petty said. "Six years ago a 613 would have won the tournament. We've gotten better over those years as a teams, but so has everyone else. We need to focus on putting together an entire tournament in the spring matches as opposed to playing a good first day of a tournament as we've done at times this fall."

Bryan Arnold and Justin Chin tied for 12th with scores of 151. Arnold went 75-76 for the tournament, while Chin finished with a 74-77 over the two-day event.

The tournament was the final event on the fall schedule for the Little Giants. The team will resume action in March with a trip to Arizona over spring break.
