Wabash got an early look at their positioning in the upcoming NCAA Cross Country Regional, finishing seventh at the Calvin Pre-Regional meet Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Little Giants scored 211 points, trailing host Calvin College (29 points), Windsor (45), Mount Union (95), DePauw (125), Anderson (131), and Tri-State (168). The Little Giants will return to Grand Rapids for the Great Lakes Regional November 10th.
Freshman Seth Einterz continued to pace the Wabash team, equalling his season-best time with a mark of 25:59 to finish 28th overall.
Hugh Jackson and Sam Compton-Craig were two of seven Wabash runners to put together their best races of the season. Jackson finished 34th overall with a season-best time of 26:13. Compton-Craig finished 45th. Senior Geoff Lambert finished 50th (26:52), while fellow senior Ben Bly was 54th.
