Makubuya Performs at Ethnomusicology Conference

Associate Professor of Music James Makubuya presented a paper on the musical and contextual functions of three east african chordophones, including the string fiddles (endingidi), 8-string bowl lyres (endongo), and 9-string bow harps (adungu) during the National Annual Conference of the Society for Ethnomusicology at Ohio State University in October. He also presented a 30-minute solo concert on these instruments.
