Webb presents award at the Conference on Christianity and Literature

Professor of Religion and Philosophy Stephen Webb presented the Conference on Christianity and Literature’s 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award to writer John Updike in the Spring 2007 issue of Christianity and Culture.

Webb’s "Building Communities One Gym at a Time: Communitarianism and the Decline of Small-Town Basketball" is the opening essay in Basketball and Philosophy: Thinking Outside the Paint, published by the University of Kentucky Press in 2007. His "Three Musings on the Slow and Steady Descent of Darwinism" was published in the September 2007 edition of Reviews in Religion and Theology 14, and his article, "The Problem with Preexistence," appeared in the July/August 2007 edition of Books & Culture.

"The Secret to My Academic Success, or, How Conservativism Can Save Your Career," was published in Reviews in Religion and Theology, and "New Theology, Old Economics" was published in the April 2007 issue of First Things. His review of "Jerry Falwell was Right" by Steven J. Keillor in Keillor’s book God’s Judgments, appeared in the August 2007 issue of Christianity Today.

Webb presented an invited talk on religion and violence at Arizona State University in October, and was a participant in the Liberty Fund conference on founding fathers in September at Bozeman, Montana.
