Jon Christy has served as director of assessment and institutional research at
Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa since January 2003. He also serves as chair of the Faculty Assessment Committee, is an ex officio member of the Student Life Assessment Committee, and was recently named cochair of the campus-wide steering committee to prepare for Luther's Higher Learning Commission reaccreditation site visit in April 2009. In 2001, Jon was selected as a First-Year Assessment Fellow by the Association for Institutional Research (
AIR). His experience in higher education also includes a five-year stint as registrar at a small, private liberal arts college. Jon received his PhD in higher education administration through the Planning, Policy, and Leadership Studies program at the University of Iowa in 1997.
