Golf Team Sixth After First Round In Conference Tourney

The Wabash golf team saved its most consistent round as a team for Friday's first round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Tournament at Wanango Country Club in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The Little Giants finished Friday's round with a team total of 342. Ohio Wesleyan leads the tournament with a 297, Allegheny is second (301), followed by Denison (304), Wooster (307), Wittenberg (316), Wabash, Kenyon (343), and Hiram (352).

Wabash had four golfers within one stroke of one another.Joe Mills (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) led the Little Giants on Friday with an 84. Rob McCourt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood) was one stroke off of Mills with an 85. Freshman Adam Berry (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial) shot an 86, and junior James Lisher (Shelbyville, IN/Indiana Academy) fired an 87. Chris Miltenberger (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) shot a 94.

The Little Giants will complete the tournament on Saturday afternoon.
