Wrestlers Open Season Against Division I Indiana

The Wabash wrestling team started the 2007-08 season against perhaps the toughest opponent it will face all season. The Little Giants battled the nationally-ranked NCAA Division I Indiana University squad at Chadwick Court Friday night. The Hoosiers handed Wabash a 44-0 defeat.

Despite the lopsided final team score, the Little Giants made good showings in several bouts against an Indiana team that returned nine national qualifiers and four All-Americans from last season. Rob Arnett fought through three periods at heavyweight against Justin Kuhn before dropping a 5-0 decision. Stephen Mosier and IU's Matt Coughlin went the distance at 165 pounds before Coughlin came away with a 9-4 victory.

The Little Giants return to the mat November 27 with a dual meet at the University of Chicago. Competition begins at 7 p.m.
