Senior center Andrew Zimmer was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 5, 2008.
The 6-7 senior helped Wabash to three victories during that time period --- a 69-64 win over Southwestern University in the final game of the Trinity/Southwestern Holiday Classic and NCAC victories over Allegheny (75-56) and Hiram (80-60). He averaged 20.7 points over that three-game stretch, shooting 56 percent from the field (23-of-41) including 4-of-9 (44.4 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. He also averaged eight rebounds a game in addition to eight blocked shots, five steals, and four assists during that period.
Zimmer is currently fifth in the NCAC in scoring with a 17.0 points-per-game average.
