Senior center Andrew Zimmer was named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week for the period ending January 6, 2008.
The 6-7 senior helped Wabash to three victories during that time period --- a 69-64 win over Southwestern University in the final game of the Trinity/Southwestern Holiday Classic and NCAC victories over Allegheny (75-56) and Hiram (80-60). He averaged 20.7 points over that three-game stretch, shooting 56 percent from the field (23-of-41) including 4-of-9 (44.4 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. He also averaged eight rebounds a game in addition to eight blocked shots, five steals, and four assists during that period. Zimmer was also named the North Coast Athletic Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Zimmer is currently fifth in the NCAC in scoring with a 17.0 points-per-game average.
