Wabash honored the three members of its swimming and diving team Saturday afternoon prior to the final home meet of the season against the University of Indianapolis. The Greyhounds were less than gracious guests, defeating Wabash 181-117.
Prior to the start of competition, head coach John Weitz and the rest of the Wabash team recognized seniors John Kasey, Kyle O'Keefe, and Aaron Spolarich and their families for their career contributions to the program. (View photos from the meet.)
Evan Rhinesmith added to the celebration, winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.44. He added another win in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.23). O'Keefe picked up a third-place finish in the 200 breaststroke by touching in 2:18.54.
Adam Petro added two more victories in the 200 fly (1:54.38) and 100 fly (52.29). He was second in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.09.
Jordon Blackwell was second in the 200 free, finishing in 1:45.58. Craig Vetor was third (1:46.12. Cole Hatcher added a second-place finish on the one-meter diving board with a score of 221.30. Rob Fenoglio was third (202.70). Fenoglio took second in three-meter competition (196.65), while Tom Schiltz was third (169.95).
The Little Giants return to action February 1 with a dual meet against Kalamazoo College. The event will be hosted by St. Mary's College at the Rolf's Aquatic Center on the University of Notre Dame campus.
