Server's 27-yard Field Goal in Overtime Gives Wabash Football Win at Wittenberg

Freshman Mark Server (Plainfield, IN/Plainfield) nailed a 27-yard field goal in overtime to boost the Wabash College football past the Wittenberg Tigers in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday.

The Tigers, ranked fourth in the nation in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll, took an early 14-0 lead before the Little Giants took a 21-14 halftime advantage.

Wabash led 43-26 with 14:09 left in the game, only to see the Tigers battle back and tie the contest with 3:24 remaining in regulation. Wittenberg went on offense first in the overtime, but missed a 33-yard field goal to give the Little Giants a shot. Server's kick was dead down the middle, giving the Little Giants their 12th consecutive win and avenging their last loss, a 14-3 defeat at the hands of the Tigers last season.
