Boulais Named NCAC Defensive Player of the Week

Senior linebacker Nate Boulais (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Wabash football team to a 46-43 overtime victory over the previously-fourth ranked Wittenberg Tigers on Saturday.

Boulais led the Little Giants with 16 tackles, including 10 solo stops.

His biggest tackle of the game came in the extra period. Wittenberg faced a third down and three play in overtime when the Tigers completed a pass to Jered Glover. Boulais, along with freshman defensive end Aaron Selby (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont), stopped Glover short of the first-down marker, forcing the Tigers into a field goal attempt. The kick was wide right, giving Wabash the opportunity to win the game. The Little Giants took advantage as freshman kicker Mark Server (Plainfield, IN/Plainfield) kicked a 27-yard field goal to give Wabash the win.

Boulais' 16 tackles also moved him over the 300-tackle mark in his career. He has 314 in four seasons as a starting linebacker at Wabash.
