Wabash Vaults to 15th in Latest Football Poll

The latest American Football Coaches' Association Division III poll has been released with Wabash moving to 15th in the rankings.

The Little Giants moved into the top-25 after defeating previously fourth-ranked Wittenberg 46-43 in overtime on Saturday. The Tigers fell to 16th in the AFCA poll.

Wabash was ranked in the top-25 in nearly every preseason poll, but this marks the first time this season that the Little Giants have cracked the top-25 in the AFCA poll. Wabash received 469 points in the latest poll. The Little Giants nearly made the top-25 last week, receiving 95 points from the 49 coaches who participate in the weekly voting by the AFCA.

Wabash will play host to Ohio Wesleyan University this Saturday at 1 p.m. The Battling Bishops opened the year ranked 13th in the first AFCA poll, but fell out of the rankings after a 16-0 loss to Albion.
