Patrick East '00

Pat East is an entrepreneur having founded two companies: Hanapin Marketing and Tingian Ventures. Hanapin is a marketing firm that works with Google to increase website traffic. They boast a client list of 100, with more than one-third as active clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to billion-dollar private firms. Tingian is a software development firm, specializing in web-based tools and applications. Their first product will launch this year. Previously, Pat was the Director of Marketing at Author Solutions, a book publisher. In four years, the management team increased annual revenue from $6M to $20M and grew the employee base from 50 to 200. Pat is active in his community, volunteering for the Bloomington Technology Partnership and offering pro-bono web design for the Red Cross and the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. He is an adjunct professor at Indiana University and sits on advisory boards for the Master of Information Science (MIS) program, SproutBox, and ModalLogix. Pat is active at Wabash too, serving as Class Agent and NAWM board member, and regularly hosts Wabash interns at his companies. He and his wife, Jamie, have one son. They are members of the 1832 Society.
