Senior forward/center Andrew Zimmer has been selected to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week for the period ending February 17, 2008.
Zimmer led Wabash to wins over Earlham (83-61) and Oberlin (97-73). He scored a career-high 36 points and grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds on Senior Day in victory against Oberlin, keeping the Little Giants in the hunt for a home tournament game in the quarterfinals of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. Zimmer was the top scorer for Wabash against Earlham with 24 points in 28 minutes of action.
The pre-season All-America pick averaged 30 points and 10.5 rebounds for the week, shooting 57.6 percent, including 8-of-12 shots from three-point range while going 14-of-15 from the free throw line.
Zimmer earned the weekly award for the second time this season. He was named to the squad for the week of December 31 through January 6.
