Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at Rose-Hulman

The Wabash soccer team lost a 1-0 decision in a non-conference match at Rose-Hulman on Monday night.

The only goal of the match came in the 21st minute when Tom Drochner took a corner kick from Eric Krupitzer to five the Engineers the win.

Wabash had five shots on goal, but could not get a ball into the back of the net. Sophomore Tom Reifenberg (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers) led the Little Giants with two shots toward the net. Freshmen Chase Lamm (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg and Jeff Diebel (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) each had one shot on goal, as did senior forward Carlos Aguirre (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis).

Sophomore John Taggart (Carmel, IN/Hampton Roads Academy) was in goal for Wabash, making six saves.

Wabash falls to 8-9 with the loss. The Little Giants will play their final match of the 2002 season on Saturday at Denison University. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
