Junior Jay Horrey and freshman Will Pelak scored all three points for the Little Giants in the team's 6-3 loss at Whittier Thursday afternoon. The Wabash team spent the week in California as part of its annual spring break trip.
Pelak and Horrey combined for an 8-5 win at number one doubles. Pelak improved to 12-6 in singles play with a straight sets 6-3, 6-0 win over Ted Wyatt at number one singles. Horrey also scored a straight sets victory by defeating Sean Robertson 6-3, 6-2.
Juniors Sean Clerget and Ryan Waldon battled at third doubles before falling 9-7 to Denis Minaev and Ryan Johnson.
Wabash (4-7) returns to Indiana for its next match at Rose-Hulman on Wednesday afternoon.
