Wabash Moves One Spot to Ninth in AFCA Poll

The Wabash College football team moved up a spot in the latest American Football Coaches Association Division III poll. The Little Giants are ranked ninth in the poll released on Tuesday, November 5.

Wabash moved up from last week's tenth-place ranking after a 42-22 victory over previously 22nd-ranked Wooster last weekend. The Little Giants earned at least a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference title with the win and earned the NCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III football playoffs.

Wabash last went to the playoffs in 1977, advancing to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl before losing in the championship game to Widener 39-36. The conference title is the first in any sport for Wabash since the Little Giants joined the NCAC in 1999. Wabash began play in NCAC football in 2000.

The Little Giants (8-0, 6-0) will try and complete the NCAC season sweep this Saturday, traveling to Hiram College (0-8, 0-5) for their final conference game of the season. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
