Wabash Drops 9-7 Match Play Contest to Rose

Wabash played its annual match play competition against Rose-Hulman in the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic at the Crawfordsville Country Club Wednesday afternoon. The Little Giants fell 9-7 Rose, including a 379-384 defeat in individual stroke play.

Jake German (left) and Sam Russell tied for the second-best individual rounds, each firing a 75 on the par-70 course. Jordan Vice added a 77, while Charlie Kelley finished with a 78. Kyle Nagdeman completed the team scoring with a 79.

Vice won 1 up over Brian Kiraly in individual match play. Luke Moton took a 7&6 win over Cliff Parsons in his heads-up match. Andrew Palmer took a 5&4 win against Tyler Werke. Jake German won 6&5 against Spenser Warren. Kevin Andrews and Jordan Koch each halved their matches against their opponents.

Rose won the team match play by a final score of 3-2 to secure the overall win.

The Little Giants will compete at the North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Championship Tournament next weekend at Denison University.
