Wabash's Sigma Alpha Pi Inducts Charter Members

Sigma Alpha Pi is a National Leadership Society organized on our campus for the first time this year through the L.E.A.D. (Linking Education and Alumni Development) Program.  On Monday, April 21 the Wabash College chapter held its inaugural induction ceremony for 26 founding members.

These students have completed activities over the course of this academic year to fullfill all of the membership requirements.  Those requirements include attending video conference presentations by some of the nation's top presenters, authors, and motivational speakers on a variety of leadership related topics. In addition, they had to particpate in a leadership training day exercise and regular success networking team meetings, where they would meet with fellow pending members, discuss there future goals, identify specific tasks they can do before their next meeting to help them reach those goals.

Wabash chapter student president Barron Hewetson welcomed the pending members before introducing keynote speaker, Associate Dean of Students Mike Raters '85.   Following the keynote address each pending member was given their membership certificate and officially inducted.
