Twenty-two members have been elected to the Wabash College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa national honorary society.
The oldest American fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa was founded at the College of William and Mary in 1776. The Wabash chapter, Beta of Indiana, was founded in 1898 and each year elects as members students of good moral character and exceptionally high academic accomplishment.
The 21 new senior members are:

• Ty Eugene Benefiel, an economics major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin E. Benefiel of Monrovia, Ind.
• Robert Christopher Brandt, a psychology major, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert W. Brandt of Carmel, Ind.
• Joshua Shane Day, a psychology major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lemons of Marysville, Ind.
• Andrew George DeRolf, a history major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis DeRolf of Shelbyville, Ind.
• Thomas Jerry Elliott, Jr., an English/religion double major, son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Elliott of Carmel, Ind.
• Andrew Thomas Flack, a biology major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Flack of Indianapolis, Ind.
• Scott Andrew Gallant, an economics major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Gallant of Harrison, Ohio.
• Christopher Kenneth Geggie, a Latin/Greek double major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Geggie of Alhambra, Calif.
• Wassim W. Labaki, a biology major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walid Labaki of Hacienda Heights, Calif.
• Kyle David McClammer, an economics major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger D. McClammer of Greenfield, Ind.
• John Phillip Chadwick Moore, an English major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark S. Moore of Carmel.
• Cory Lee Norman, a chemistry major, son of Dr. and Mrs. Gregory Norman of Flora, Ind.
• Jackson Rehm Price, a biology/economics double major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald G. Price of Salisbury, NC.

• Shenil Shah, a chemistry major, son of Dr. and Mrs. Paresh Shah of Indianapolis, Ind.
• Austin Frederick Shurtz, a biology major, son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Shurtz of Newburgh, Ind.
• Jason Lawrence Siegel, a biology major, son of Ms. Nancy J. Siegel of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Lawrence Siegel of Syracuse, Ind.
• Patrick Joseph Smith, a classics major, son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Smith of Bedford, Ind.
• Lincoln Edward Smith, a biology/philosophy double major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent E. Smith of Bluffton, Ind.
• Aaron James Spolarich, a psychology/English double major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Spolarich of Schererville, Ind.
They join fellow classmates who were elected in their junior year. They are: Wesley Richard Barnes and Collin Keenan Rudnik.
This year’s junior inductee is Austin Wayne Kline, a biology major, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kline of Huntington, Ind.
The 22 new members will be inducted in a special ceremony during Commencement weekend on May 10 at 2:45 p.m. in Lovell Lecture Room in Baxter Hall.
Wabash College is a private liberal arts college for men located in Crawfordsville, Indiana and was founded in 1832.
