WCC Visits Wrigleyville

Despite some rain early, a short delay before starting the game, and a quick 8-0 deficit to the Colorado Rockies, all turned out well for the annual Wabash Club of Chicago Cubs Game Event.  Nearly 100 alumni, family, and friends gathered on Friday, May 30 for this annual event.  Pre-game activities this year were held at Casey Moran's on Clark Street directly across from Wrigley Field.  Everyone enjoyed some lunch and their favorite beverage while it rained outside.

The weather did finally cooperate and the game started just 20 minutes or so later than the scheduled time.  After the first few innings most Cubs fans were wishing the game never started as they fell behind 8-0 after three innings.  The skies had cleared and the Cubs mounted a rally taking advantage of a strong wind blowing out to prevail 10-9.

Thanks to Eric Schoettle '93 for devoting his time in organizing another great outing, even though he is a White Sox fan.  Click here to see a photo album from the day.
