Little Giants Ready for 2008 Football Season

Head Coach Erik Raeburn enters his first season at the helm of the Wabash football program. He is ready to guide the Little Giants on their quest for a fourth consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference title and first back-to-back NCAA playoff appearances in school history.

Wabash is ranked in the top 15 in every major preseason college football publication, including its highest preseason ranking from D3football.com at 11th. Sixteen starters and 35 lettermen return from the 2007 squad that finished with an 11-2 record and a trip to the quarterfinals of the NCAA playoffs.

Seniors Darryl Kennon, Jared Lange, Chad Peterman, Matt Kraft, Joshua Gangloff, and Rich Lehmann will be ready to lead the Little Giants on defense. Fellow seniorsTony Neymeiyer, Jeremy Morris, Erik Shaver, and Pat Long are all experienced starters on the offensive line. First Team All-Conference junior quarterback Matt Hudson will look to senior receiver Andrew Rode to lead the Little Giants on offense.

Wabash kicks off the 2008 season on September 13 at Denison University. The Little Giants open the home portion of their schedule against the University of Chicago September 20.
