LaFollette Distinguished Professor of the Humanities Bill Placher ’70 has been named the 2008-09 Killian McDonnell Writer in Residence at the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research, where he is working on a theological commentary on the Gospel of Mark.
