Wabash finished seventh out of 15 teams in "Little State" portion of the 2008 Indiana Intercollegiate Men's Cross Country Championship Friday afternoon. The Little Giants were 13th out of 21 total teams.
Donavan White (right) continued his impressive freshman season with a 22nd-place finish among non-Division I competitors. White crossed the finish line for the 8000-meter event in 27:03.
Senior Hugh Jackson was 35th for the Little Giants with a time of 27:29. Grahm Johnson was 42 (27:42), with fellow junior Micah Milliman finishing just behind in 45th (27:53). Freshman Kevin McCarthy was 59th (28:23) to round out the team scoring for Wabash.
Wabash scored 197 total points in the Little State division. Indiana Tech won the race with a total of 37 points. Southern Indiana (45) was second, followed by Huntington (119), Manchester (136), DePauw (148), and Taylor (149). Rose-Hulman (198) was eighth, with Franklin (235), Anderson (257), the University of Indianapolis (315), Earlham (341), Trine (359), Grace (396), and Vincennes (419) completing the team standings.
The Little Giants will compete at the Otterbein Invitational Saturday, September 27 in Westerville, Ohio.
