Wabash held on in double overtime for a 3-3 tie at Principia College Tuesday night.
The Little Giants took a 3-1 lead before Principia rallied for two late goals to send the match into the first of two overtime periods.
Wabash trailed 1-0 before Dylan Andrew tied the match at 1-1. Femi Oluyedun sent the ball into the box where Andrew battled to get a shot past Panthers' goalkeeper Samuel Thomas.
Oluyedun added a second assist when he found Diego Aliaga in front of the net for a goal to give Wabash a 2-1 lead. The goal was the first of the season for Aliaga, while Oluyedun's assists give him a team-best five for the year.
Austin Jennings scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season off a pass from David Rosborough to help Wabash take a 3-1 edge. Two goals late in the second period sent the match into extra time.
Wabash had a chance to score the game-winner late in regulations and had additional opportunities both extra periods, but could not get any shots past Thomas.
"We played hard and well in a very tough environment," head coach Roberto Giannini said. "The field was wet from a lot of rain. It was foggy later in the match. Principia had a lot of fans yelling and showing support. Through all of that we had a very good performance on the road."
The Little Giants finished with 22 total shots and 13 shots on goal --- both season highs. Pat West recorded six saves between the posts for Wabash.
Wabash (4-5-3) returns to North Coast Athletic Conference action this weekend with a Saturday morning match at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
