As a part of the Wabash College Experience Indiana Speakers Series, architect Bill Brown will give a talk at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, October 23. His talk, "Future-Proof Design," will take place in Room 319 in Hays Hall and is free and open to the public.
Brown is an architect from Indianapolis who is on the forefront of green design and implementation. He is associate partner at Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf in Indianapolis, a 40-year-old firm that is a leader in the Indianapolis market with a nationwide practice in sustainable architecture, landscape architecture, and planning. He designed a zero carbon footprint library in Chrisney, IN, and has been involved in numerous energy saving designs.
He is also chair of the Indianapolis Greenprint Commission, Vice Chair of the Indiana Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and serves as technical advisor to the Indiana Wind Group and the Indiana Sustainability Alliance. He writes daily for a blog: From: Brown To: Green.
