Wabash College’s English Department will host Doug Thorpe who will lecture on the spirituality of the wilderness. His talk will take place at 8 p.m., Thursday, October 30, in Korb Classroom in the Fine Arts Center.
Thorpe is professor of English at Seattle Pacific University and the author of the award-winning book Rapture of the Deep: Reflections on the Wild in Art, Wilderness, and the Sacred. The book won the David Family Environmental Book Award, sponsored by Larry David, creator of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Laurie David, co-producer of An Inconvenient Truth.
A reception and book signing will follow the lecture in the Littell Lobby. His talk is free and open to the public.
