Sophomore Seth Einterz and senior Hugh Jackson ran to All-North Coast Athletic honors at the league's 2008 Men's Cross Country Championship race. The Little Giants finished third out of ten teams at the annual competition.
Einterz (right) picked up First Team All-NCAC honors by finishing fifth overall with a time of 25:20. The mark was the fastest of the season for Einterz, who has spent most of the year recovering from a bout of mononucleosis over the summer.
Jackson (below left) finished 16th with a time of 25:53, breaking the 26-minute mark for the second consecutive race to earn a spot on the Honorable Mention All-NCAC squad. Both runners earned All-NCAC honors in 2007, as well.
The Little Giants finished third as a team for the second consecutive season. Freshmen Kevin McCarthy and Donavan White and junior Micah Milliman completed the 8000-meter course nearly simultaneously. McCarthy was 24th after crossing the finish line in 26:01. White finished two seconds later in 25th place. Milliman was right behind, taking 26th with a time of 26:05.
Wabash scored a total of 93 points. Defending champion Allegheny won the race with 34 points, followed by Denison in second with 66, with Kenyon finishing fourth (102). Oberlin, the host school for the event, was fifth (108), with Ohio Wesleyan (114), Wittenberg (218), Wooster (233), Earlham (278), and Hiram (288) rounding out the team scoring.
The Little Giants will race at the NCAA Regional Saturday, November 15 at Otterbein.
