Healy broke the mark of 36 victories set in 1998 by All-American wrestler Dan Emerson '98. Healy already owns the Wabash single-season record for victories at 174 pounds.
Healy, who entered the tournament hosted since 1938 by Wheaton College as the third seed, opened with a decisive 14-4 victory over Jeremy Mosier of Millikin, then advanced to the semi-finals by pinning sixth-seeded Shamar Bailey of Maranatha 4:32 into the match. Healy lost a close 6-2 semifinal match against the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse's Jason Lullhoff, the second-seed in the tourney and eventual 174-pound invitational champion.
Healy bounced back in the consolation bracket with an 11-2 major decision against Heidelberg's Joe Hada before taking third-place honors with a 3-0 decision over Aaron Johnson from the University of Indianapolis.
Sophomore Adam Miller (Pendleton, IN/Pendleton Heights) was the only other Wabash wrestler to place at the Invitational. Miller finished the weekend with a 2-3 record to take eighth place at 157 pounds.
Wabash tied for 16th in the 28-team tournament.
