To help protect the College's electronic information, IT Services is implementing a password policy that places new restrictions on passwords for all of Wabash's computer systems. All network passwords will expire at 7am on Thursday, December 11, 2008. All Wabash account holders must change their password prior to that time or be locked out of all Wabash computer systems.

Syncing Your Network Password and Windows XP Password
For Wabash employees, if your office computer runs Windows XP, you will have to resync your local computer password with your network password the first time you log on after changing your password. To sync the passwords, do the following:
1. At the first login screen, enter your user name and your new password, click OK
2. At the second login screen, enter your user name and your old password. Click to place a check mark in the box next to "Change your windows password to match your Novell password after a successful login", click OK
You may find it easier to restart your computer and sync your passwords right after you change your password, but you can wait to sync the passwords the next time you log in.
Mac OS Keychain
If your office computer runs Mac OS, you may have to update your network password in your Keychain if you have stored it there. In most cases you should be automatically prompted to enter and store your new password.
