The Little Giants opened with wins in two of the three doubles matches. Senior Scott Paramoure (New Brownfels, TX/New Brownfels) and junior Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) combined for a 9-7 victory at number one doubles. Senior Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) and sophomore Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) took an 8-3 victory at number two doubles to earn the first point of the match for Wabash.
Paramoure took a straight-sets victory at number one singles over Anderson's Cameron Scott, winning 6-0, 6-1. Cain added another point to the team total with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number three singles. Starnes and sophomore Paul Drambarean (Attica, IN/Attica) took the final two points for Wabash in singles play to give the Little Giants their first win of the year. Starnes was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at number four singles. Drambarean took a 6-4, 7-5 victory in the number five singles match.
Wabash is 1-4 for the season. The Little Giants travel to Holland, Michigan on Saturday, March 1 to play Hope College at 1 p.m.
