Parker Lyons is a 1997 Class Agent for the college and a member of the Little Giant Club. Like many Wabash men after graduation, he jumped from job to job trying to find himself. He started as a financial representative, sold golf clubs, worked in community relations, until finally discovering an interest in computers.
Parker took night classes, studied from text books, and eventually taught himself to be a computer programmer. He jumped into web design during the dot com boom, and has now worked for Covance Central Labs for 8 years as a Senior Software Developer.
As a board member of NAWM, Parker wants to use his experience to help students find themselves and their career, and provide them with more opportunities to succeed.
Parker also owns several online web communities. He hopes to share this expertise with the board to find new ways for the Wabash community (students, alumni, and staff) to connect and grow.
