The Grand Rapids Association of Wabash Men welcomed President Pat White and his wife Chris to the area Saturday night. A good group of alumni, family, friends, and prospective students enjoyed a nice meal at the Centennial Country Club.
Regional association president Jay Fisher '66 welcomed the group to the reception and dinner. Fisher introduced Marc Welch '99, the Admissions representative from the college who is assigned to the area, in addition to President and Mrs. White. Jay also introduced the prospective students attending and their parents.
Jay then turned the program over to Pat White who provided an insiders view of the college that resonated with the prospective students and alumni alike. Pat's comments showed the college's new strategic plan has already started to make a difference at the college. He also mentioned local students who are excelling at Wabash, and pointed out that Brock Graham, a talented student-athlete from the area, was featured on the NCAA Champions magazine cover and was recently an honored guest at the reopening of the Hall of Champions.
Many thanks to Jay and Marty Fisher for putting together a wonderful evening and working to get a great turnout.
