DesJean Named to D3Hoops.com All-Region Team

Wabash College senior basketball player Joe DesJean (Indianapolis, IN/Perry Meridian) has been named to the D3Hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.

DesJean averaged 18.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game his senior season to lead the Little Giants in both categories. He finished fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference in scoring and tied for third in overall rebounding. DesJean led the conference for the third consecutive season with 45 blocked shots, finishing his four-year career at Wabash with a school-record 194 shot rejections. His 1,506 career points place him sixth on the Wabash all-time scoring list. DesJean also finished his career with 825 career rebounds, placing him second on the Wabash career list and making him one of only two Wabash players to ever top the 800-rebound mark. He was named the NCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year in 2002 while earning First Team All-Conference honors. He was also a First Team selection in 2003 and 2001. DesJean was a D3Hoops.com 2001-02 All-Great Lakes Region First Team selection.

Players were voted on by a panel of regional sports information directors after being nominated for the regional team.
