Wabash ended Saturday's outdoor track and field season-opening J. Owen Huntsman Relays with 18 top-three finishes. The Little Giants were paced by first place finishes in eight events. The non-scoring meet took place on the same track at Wabash College that bears the name of the coaching legend for whom the meet honors.

Alex Moseman won the hammer throw with a mark of 45.44 meters (149 feet, 1 inch) before returning for a first place finish in the discus (37.56 meters; 123 feet, 3 inches). Teammate Devin Kelley took third in the discus with a throw of 37.26 meters (122 feet, 3 inches).
Matt Scheller was a winner in the shot put, posting a meet-best mark of 13.56 meters (44 feet, 6 inches). Kyle Edwards finished third (13.33 meters; 43 feet, 9 inches.)
Wes Chamblee crossed the finish line first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.81. Junior Emmanuel Aouad was third in the 400 hurdles (56.38), but finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.54.
Wabash won three relay events --- the 400-meter, 1600-meter, and 3200-meter races. Chamblee, Mike Russell, Jake Zielinski, and Aouad combined to win the 400 relay with a time of 43.46. The quartet of Chamblee, Russell, Aouad, and Spencer Sheridan took first place in the 1600 relay (3:24.76), while the foursome of Zielinski, Andre Adeyemi, Garret Bonk, and Lemi Lak were third (3:28.50). Bonk, Micah Milliman, Laki, and Kevin McCarthy scored a win in the 3200 relay (7:58.38) with teammates Justin Allen, Colin Dunlap, Donovan White, and Sheridan finishing third (8:13.56).
The Little Giants were second and third in the distance medley relay. Allen, Adeyemi, Laki, and Hugh Jackson finished with a time of 10:42.42, barely crossing ahead of the third place team of White, Sheridan, Bonk, and McCarthy.
Sam Glowinski was second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50 meters (11 feet, 6 inches). Brent Banach added a second place finish in the javelin throw (45 meters; 147 feet, 8 inches). Sam Compton-Craig took third place in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:05.13).
Wabash will compete at the Washington University - St. Louis Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28.
