Ten Wabash students are in Salt Lake City, Utah, this week at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society.
Sophomore Nathan Line won a $405 grant from the Indianapolis chapter of ACS to help defer the cost of the trip. Line will be presenting research he did last summer with Professor Lon Porter.
"This is my second conference I have attended to present my research," Line said. "It is an unimaginable opportunity to meet and interact with others who have put their time and effort into research. However, events like this are not cheap and this grant has greatly helped me compensate for the cost. I would like to thank the college for giving me the opportunity to do research and the local American Chemical Society for awarding me with this grant."
Porter is accompanying the group to the meeting. The students attending are: Hieu Minh Dam, Andrew Leshovsky, Jonathan O’Donnell, Andrew Oehler, Brandon Hirsch, Bogdan Stancu, Jasper Small, Xingcheng Liu, and Small.
