The Wabash College Class of 2009 will graduate in Commencement Weekend activities May 15-17. The seniors' final weekend on campus begins with the Deans' Breakfast and culminates in the 171st Commencement Ceremony.
Following a long-standing Wabash College tradition, the speakers will be two students from the graduating class. Hieu "Duncan" Dam from Hanoi, Vietnam and Andy Leshovsky of Saint Paul Park, Minnesota will give the Commencement addresses.
The Junior Class Marshals will be Jacob Grow of Columbus, Indiana and Greg Slisz of Indianapolis
The College will present three honorary degrees during the ceremony, two of which will be given to alumni of the College.
N. Clay Robbins '79, President of Lilly Endowment Inc., will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws. Max Servies '58, legendary Wabash wrestling coach and director of athletics, will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. And Reverend Edward "Monk" Malloy, who served his alma mater, Notre Dame, as its president for 18 years, will receive an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.
Click here to see a full schedule of events for the weekend. Commencement will be held on the College Mall on Sunday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in Chadwick Court in the Allen Athletics and Recreation Center.
