Vice Takes Medalist Honors at Hanover Invite

Wabash senior Jordan Vice became the third Little Giant golfer in ten years to earn medalist honors at the Hanover Invitational. Vice helped Wabash to a third place finish at the annual event at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour, Indiana.

Vice (left) fired back-to-back 76's to win the title by two strokes over Anderson's Tyler Daniels. The Wabash senior started the final day a shot back of two players in a tie for third place before posting one of only four rounds below 80. He joined James Lisher ’01 and teammate Sam Russell as individual medalists. Lisher took top honors at the 1999 event, while Russell won it as a freshman two years ago.

Charlie Kelley finished with a 163 (80-83) to finish in a tie for 14th place. Russell scored a 169 (85-84), while Jordan Koch completed the team scoring with a 170 (83-87). Wabash "B" team member Jake German posted a 160 (79-81) for a tenth place finish. Drew Palmer shot a 163 (78-85).

Wabash finished 11 strokes back of Vincennes University (642) and eight behind Mount St. Joseph (645) with its total of 653 strokes. The Little Giants will compete at the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational April 3-4 at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois.
