2009 Wabash Golf Invitational

Ohio Wesleyan leads the team scoring after the first round of the 2009 Wabash Invitational.

The Battling Bishops shot 293 to lead the way after Saturday's full day of golf from The Trophy Club Golf Course in Lebanon, Indiana. DePauw University was second (296), followed by Wittenberg (303), Denison (311), and Allegheny (313). Wabash and Wooster tied for sixth (317), while the Wabash "B" team was in seventh place (323). Kenyon (336), Hiram (377), and Oberlin (407) completed the first-day scoring.

OWU's Jesse Chiero and DePauw's Ronnie Harris each posted 71s to take top individual honors after the first 18 holes of the two-day tournament.

The final round is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
